Lovehoney review
The Bath-born sex shop's US store: plain boxes labelled LH Trading, free shipping from $59, and a 100-day gift-card guarantee on opened toys.
The 100-day safety net
The closest thing to a do-over in this business: one opened toy per order can come back within 100 days, for a gift card rather than cash. Standard shipping is free from $59, the label says LH Trading, and Next Day is there if you'll pay $25.99 for it.

- Good: One opened toy per order back for a gift card within 100 days
- Good: Plain boxes labelled LH Trading
- Not so good: The 100-day guarantee pays out in gift cards, not refunds
- Not so good: It doesn't say what name shows on your statement
Is Lovehoney any good?
Lovehoney started in Bath, England, in 2002 and is now part of WOW Tech, the group behind We-Vibe and Womanizer. Its US store ships from a warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia, and covers the full range: toys, bondage gear, lingerie, lube and its own-brand products.
Packaging is spelled out in detail. Small items come in heavy-duty plain envelopes, standard orders in small plain brown boxes and big ones in plain custom boxes. There are no brand markings on the package; the shipping label names the sender as LH Trading, and the return address is the Atlanta warehouse without the word Lovehoney. The shop doesn't say what appears on a card statement.
Standard shipping costs $6.99 and takes up to six working days, free on orders of $59 or more. Expedited is $9.99 for about four working days, and Next Day Delivery is $25.99. UPS orders placed before 3pm ET on a weekday ship the same day.
Returns come in layers. Unopened, unused items can go back within 30 days for a refund. On top of that, the 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee lets you send back one opened toy or bondage item per order within 100 days in exchange for a gift card; lingerie, lube and games aren't covered. Defective products get a 1-year warranty, longer on some brands.
